MOTD / Summer Days

Oh hello there! T’other day it was lovely weather outside and I thought I would FILM yes FILM myself doing a summery make up look using only ‘drugstore’ products. See video below with my amateur editing skills. Sincerely hope they get better ASAP.

And here are some photos of the look:

Products used:

L’Oreal Nude Magique blur cream

Natural Collection tinted moisturiser. I have used a few Natural Collection products in the past which I have liked but this is not one of them. I don’t know if it’s just my skin but it makes my face sweat! No go for me unfortunately. 2/10

Max Factor Mastertouch concealer in beige. I am really enjoying this concealer it gives good coverage and is a perfect colour match. I have dark circles and they do an okay job of concealing them. 7/10

Max Factor Creme Puff Powder in nouveau beige. I love this light powder. Goes on easily and lasts nearly all day, great for a matte finish and to create a base instead of using liquid foundation. 8/10

L’Oreal Super Liner Blackbuster. I bought this a while ago and used it once and it seemed to go dry really quickly as it is basically a Sharpie for your eyes. I thought I would give it another go and it’s amazing. The wide nib with a pointed end means you can get thin or thick lines and it is super black. 8/10

Barry M Showgirl mascara. Cheap and cheerful mascara. I used to use Benefit They’re Real but I actually find this to be better. No clumping, nice long and defined lashes. What more could you want? It’s a bit of a wet solution so I allow it to dry and apply a second coat later on. 8/10

Rimmel Brow This Way. Really awful product sorry Rimmel! Far too much product comes out of the tube on this day brush that does nothing to define or thicken brows. It’s wet and gooey and horrible. 1/10

Natural Collection shadow. I have used this for my brows here. Pretty standard brown shadow. 5/10

Max Factor bronzing powder

Barry M illuminating strobe cream highlighter in iced bronze. This is my favourite summer product. Only recently have I got into the trend of highlighting and this works wonders. Super easy to put on and blend and gives a gorgeous glow. 9/10

Lush Honey Trap lip balm

No 7 Stay Perfect lipstick in classic rose.  Really cute subtle colour that can build to quite a bright pink but I prefer it light. Doesn’t dry out my lips as many high-street lipsticks do.

I really hope you enjoyed my first video and the makeup look! What are your favourite high-street makeup brands?
